Thrifting is the new cool thing to do and no one said there’s anything wrong with that because we all know that history repeats itself. The stuff our parents used to wear and thought was all that is something we’ve now put a spin on and made our own. One thing that I see taking over with the year’s summer heat is the high waist “mom jeans.” Like I said I don’t think there’s anything wrong with making something old look new and cool again but I think with every right people have no problem finding the wrong too.
I’ve seen plenty of girls throw on some high waist jeans and cut the legs off adding rips and tears and even bleaching them give them a unique dingy look. Now the problem comes in when there is a bit too much creativity. Along with the waist being high the bottom is cut too high up. Last I checked there aren’t too many moms running around with their cheeks hanging out. I have had the pleasure of seeing girls getting scissor happy. I should not be able to see your underwear because you felt that there is no need at all for the legs of the jeans.
With tht being said here is a quick DIY guide to get you started on a simple pair of high waist “mom” jeans
